Our client, a reputable and forward-thinking main dealer based in Ashford, Kent, is seeking to appoint an Aftersales Manager to join the team.  This is an excellent opportunity for an Aftersales Manager — or a Senior Service Advisor/ Workshop Controller ready to step up into a management position — to join a forward-thinking dealer group.
 
You will oversee the Service and Parts departments, ensuring efficient operations, high customer satisfaction and strong financial performance. The role involves leading a motivated team, driving process improvements, and maintaining compliance with manufacturer and company standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the entire aftersales process to ensure high-quality customer service and efficient operations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the aftersales team to meet and exceed service targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication across the business.
  • Manage aftersales budgets, forecasts, and reporting to support business objectives.
  • Handle escalations and resolve complex customer issues effectively and professionally.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to enhance service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of KPIs and ability to utilise data to improve service performance.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the automotive or relevant service industry is highly desirable.
