Monday Matters Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer on behalf of a large, well-established vehicle fleet business in the Rochester, Kent area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a busy, professional accident repair and vehicle refurbishment environment, working on a wide range of vehicles and carrying out high-quality paint and refinishing work.
You’ll be joining an established team with excellent facilities, a consistent workload and the opportunity to develop your skills within a large-scale automotive operation.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to a high standard, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and meet the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing vehicles and panels ready for painting

Sanding, filling, masking and priming
-
Mixing and applying paint accurately
-
Applying primer, basecoat and lacquer
-
Colour matching and blending
-
Carrying out full and SMART paint repairs where required

Polishing and rectifying paint defects
-
Ensuring a high-quality finish on every vehicle
-
Working to agreed repair times and productivity targets
-
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Correctly maintaining and using spray equipment
-
Working closely with Panel Beaters and other members of the Bodyshop team

Following all health & safety and quality procedures
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer with a background in accident repair, bodyshop or vehicle refurbishment.
You will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician

Strong vehicle preparation and paint application skills
-
Experience with modern paint systems and refinishing techniques
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
The ability to consistently produce a high-quality finish
-
Good colour-matching and blending skills
-
The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
-
A reliable and professional approach to work
-
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or ATA would be advantageous, although proven experience and ability are more important.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stripper Fitter to join an established Bodyshop team, working on a range of vehicles and helping to ensure every vehicle is restored and finished to the highest possible standard. You’ll be working under the support and guidance of the Bodyshop Supervisor and Manager, while also having the opportunity to use your own experience and expertise to work independently and support less experienced members of the team.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Stripper Fitter, you will be responsible for stripping and fitting vehicle panels and components, supporting the repair process and ensuring vehicles are restored correctly. Your responsibilities will include:
Stripping and fitting vehicle panels
Removing parts and panels from a range of vehicles
Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition using approved repair methods
Carefully labelling and storing nuts, bolts, screws and other fixings ready for refitting
Ensuring stripped parts and panels are correctly stored and accounted for
Working closely with the wider Bodyshop team to ensure vehicles progress efficiently through the repair process
Supporting other Bodyshop departments when required
Working independently on vehicles and using your experience to make decisions when necessary
Supporting and sharing knowledge with junior technicians and trainees
Helping to train and develop Bodyshop trainee staff
Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship throughout every repair
Following company procedures and required health & safety standards
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Stripper Fitter who takes pride in their work and has previous experience within a Bodyshop or similar automotive environment. You will ideally have:
Previous experience in a similar Strip Fitter / Bodyshop role
Good practical knowledge of vehicle panels and components
The ability to strip and refit vehicles accurately and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail
A methodical approach to labelling and storing fixings and components
The confidence to work independently and make decisions when required
A willingness to support junior technicians and share your knowledge
A genuine passion for working within the motor industry
Pride in producing work to the highest standards
A full UK driving licence
Most importantly, you'll be someone who is reliable, takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of getting the job right first time.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out general servicing of vehicles
Undertaking general tyre changing duties across a variety of vehicles
Carrying out road and ramp testing and inspections when required
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
Carrying out repairs in line with approved methods to restore vehicles to their original condition
Diagnosing vehicle problems and carrying out electrical diagnostics where required
Carrying out warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
Planning and organising your workload effectively to meet set deadlines
Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
Assisting with general workshop duties as required
Accurately completing all relevant job cards, documentation and records
Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
Working closely with the wider workshop team to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently
Supporting junior technicians and sharing technical knowledge and expertise when required
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic who is confident working independently and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) – essential
Good mechanical knowledge and practical repair experience
Experience carrying out servicing and general vehicle repairs
Diagnostic experience, including electrical diagnosis where required
Experience with tyres and general workshop duties
The confidence to work independently and make decisions when required
Excellent attention to detail
A willingness to support junior technicians and share your knowledge
A genuine passion for working within the motor industry
A strong work ethic and professional approach
A full UK driving licence
