  • Circa £40k/£42K Starting Basic Salary + Bonus 
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm - Occasional Saturday

Our client, a well-respected independent garage located in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester. Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and repairing various automotive faults to ensure vehicles are operating at optimal performance.
  • Performing routine maintenance and servicing that includes oil changes, tire rotations, brakes inspections, and engine tune-ups.
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and documenting findings for clients and record-keeping.
  • Utilizing diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about vehicle condition and necessary repairs.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems and components, with a commitment to continual learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in automotive technology or mechanics.
