Skills & Experience Required:

Formal automotive technician qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

Strong diagnostic skills and a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and mentor junior technicians within the workshop
Accurately complete job cards and maintain high standards of documentation

Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
Proven experience in a main dealership or high-volume independent garage

A well-established main dealer group in Canterbury is seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle PDI/ Preparation Technician to join its busy used vehicle operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and wants to be part of a professional, supportive team within a respected dealership network.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out inspection, preparation, and repair work on used vehicles prior to sale.
Perform diagnostic checks, fluid top-ups, and road tests as required.
Identify and rectify minor mechanical or electrical faults.
Ensure all vehicles meet internal quality, safety, and presentation standards before handover.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work completed.
Assist other technicians and departments when needed.
About You:
Proven experience in a similar vehicle preparation, PDI, or technician role.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification preferred.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Full UK driving licence essential.
