Monday Matters Recruitment is working with a well-established main car dealership in Canterbury to recruit a Part Time Service Administrator to join their busy aftersales team.
This is a great opportunity for an organised and customer-focused administrator who is looking for a part time position within the automotive industry. Previous motor trade experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person.
The Role:
• Providing administrative support to the busy Service Department
• Booking and coordinating customer service appointments
• Answering telephone calls and dealing with customer enquiries
• Updating customer and vehicle records
• Preparing paperwork and job cards
• Liaising with customers and the Service Team
• Assisting with general day-to-day administration
• Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times

Motor trade experience is NOT essential. We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong background in customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, call centres or other customer-facing environments and are looking to take the next step into the automotive industry.
The Role:
As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle's service and repair journey. You will build strong customer relationships, understand their requirements and ensure they receive an excellent level of service from start to finish.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming customers into the dealership and understanding their requirements
Booking vehicles into the workshop for servicing, repairs and maintenance
Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
Preparing and explaining repair estimates and invoices
Liaising closely with technicians and the workshop team
Identifying additional work and opportunities to enhance the customer experience
Handling customer queries professionally and efficiently
Ensuring every customer receives a high standard of service
What We're Looking For

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
Conduct vehicle inspections and identify any additional work required.
Complete all work efficiently while maintaining manufacturer and company standards.
Ensure all documentation and job records are completed accurately.
Adhere to health and safety procedures within the workshop environment.

Requirements:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Automotive Technician.
Relevant Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence.
MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
