Are you a qualified MOT Tester looking for a new opportunity in the Folkestone area? A well-established and reputable garage is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join their team. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations. Your role will include accurately assessing vehicle roadworthiness, issuing certificates, and advising customers on any necessary repairs or maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities:

Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or in a similar supervisory role within a car dealership
Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and workshop operations
Excellent organisational and people management skills
Effective communication skills with both colleagues and customers
Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
Valid UK driving licence is preferred

Job Summary: As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for customers. You will utilise your technical expertise to identify issues using diagnostic equipment, perform mechanical repairs and replacements of parts, and conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake adjustments. The vehicle technician role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You will also be responsible for writing service reports, and liaising with the service manager and workshop controller.
Essential: The ideal Vehicle Technician will have a Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, and have a minimum of two years working experience in a garage.
