Monday Matters Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Automotive Transaction Manager for a high-performing automotive retail environment in Reading.
This is a key position within a strong leadership structure, working alongside an experienced Transaction Manager, a Used Car Controller, and a General Sales Manager, and supporting a team of 8 Sales Executives. The successful candidate will already have experience within automotive sales management or a similar senior dealership role and will play a vital part in driving finance penetration, profitability, compliance, and deal quality across the sales department.
You will be responsible for structuring and closing finance and insurance deals, supporting the sales process, and ensuring a seamless customer journey from enquiry through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Structure and present finance, insurance, and add-on products in line with FCA regulations
Maximise profit opportunities across vehicle sales while maintaining strong customer outcomes
Support and guide a team of 8 Sales Executives in deal construction and second-facing
Work collaboratively with the existing Transaction Manager and wider management team
Ensure accurate finance submissions and efficient lender relationships
Maintain full FCA compliance across all transactions
Support sales forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking
Contribute to the smooth delivery and handover process for customers
We are looking for someone who has:
Proven experience in automotive sales management, Business Manager, or Transaction Manager role
Strong understanding of F&I products and dealership sales processes
FCA accreditation (or already working within compliant finance environments)
Confident leadership and the ability to support and influence a sales team
Strong commercial awareness with a focus on profit and performance
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, structured dealership environment

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy and well-established HGV dealership operation based in Reading.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring productivity, quality, and efficiency while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Control and coordinate daily workshop operations
Allocate and prioritise work to technicians
Monitor workflow, productivity, and vehicle turnaround times
Ensure all servicing and repairs meet manufacturer and company standards
Liaise with Service Advisors, Parts Department, and Management
Manage labour efficiency and workshop performance
Maintain health and safety and compliance standards
Provide technical support and guidance to technicians
Requirements
Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor, or Senior Technician / Foreman

Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Workshop Operations
Lead PDI activities to manufacturer standards

Develop and maintain workshop procedures, safety standards, and documentation
